I am just weeks away from going to Nashville for the CMA Music Festival. It is five days of country music and country music fans converging in the city of Nashville, Tennessee. The concerts begin at 10:00 a.m. and continue to nearly midnight, let alone the special concerts in the bars and honky tonks throughout the city.
It is one of those vacations where you come back more tired than you may have started but the joy is well worth it. There will be concerts by the riverbank, there will be concerts in the stadium and even on street corners when you least expect it. From big names like Reba or Keith Urban to artists that may not have changed their name from their birth yet. There is even times in a coliseum where you can meet and greet the artists ... thus the wall of fame in my home will continue to grow from the sheer pleasure of the singer getting to meet me. LOL.
I am being joined again with my partners in crime from the last adventure - Barb and Jennifer. There will be stories and pictures I am certain. There will be drinking ... last time we drank margaritas the size of a 2 year old. I have no doubt this will be a repeat performance. Oh, and how could I forget the sweet tea and Waffle House for breakfast.
It is less than three weeks away but my level of excitement continues to grow daily. I will be tan as a migrant worker when this trip is complete but you will not hear me complain. Stay tuned for more developments.

Re: Pickin and a grinin
Are you staying at the Opryland Hotel? If so, you have got to go to the "dancing waterfalls" --it is a riot. A pianist accompanies the "water display" as it changes colors. Have fun on your trip - I went to grad school in Knoxville and have worked quite a bit in the Nashville area. You'll have a great time.
