Yesterday I attended the FAME event at the Grand Wayne Center.
Mind you there was 10,000 kids there and they were selling candy and pop (but no alcohol) so the energy in the place was like a Rave serving Mountain Dew and suckers. Anyway, I was like the only single guy there, who did not have a kid performing. I felt more out of place than I have felt in my life time. Thank God for my IPHONE that kept me company and looking like I was not some pervert who paid to get in to look at kids.
My niece performed twice. Once as a saxophonist and then once as a vocalist. She also had art exhibited in the showcase too. She is just beaming with talent eh?
Well, it was a fun time and I enjoyed seeing her perform, her art and to see that when performing everyone else's kid was quiet. Amen to that.
Last night I hung out with a friend and we watched Sordid Lives (a movie I have seen many times but never tire from seeing it). Made a vat of chicken and noodles too, so my stomach was mighty full and I drifted off to sleep like 9:00 p.m. Never to see the end of the movie. It has been a long couple of days but you will have that, won't ya.
